This is the Japanese/Industrial garden.
An odd name but the idea is to combine a large steel pond with wide chutes of water to reference back to the working farm buildings but planted with a bit of a nod to the Japanese garden. Big rocks and plenty of green things.
It is essentially a gravel garden with lots of self seeders scurring around amongst nascent pines, tree ferns, foxgloves, Bupleurum and Valeriana officinalis all overseen by a big and beautiful Cornus Kousa.
The steelwork is from Hot Metal Engineering, the waterworks by Fairwater and the rocks were recycled from Cleve West’s 2016 Chelsea Garden via Lichen Antiques.
